Dick volunteers with the
Landmark Heritage Foundation (LHF) scheduling docents for the fourth Sunday public tours of Julia Morgan's Berkeley masterpiece,
The Berkeley City Club.

Dick's daughter, Jennifer Walker, designed the graphic to celebrate the building's 80th anniversary.

Dick belongs to the Golden Gate Chapter of the Musical Box Society Int'l (MBSI). Society members are collectors and restorers of "musical boxes," automata that play music on their own, pre-programmed of course, with only exterior power, mechanical or electric to perform. This includes small music boxes, fair organs, calliopes and player piano.

There are wonderful sound bites of this music on the National Society's website | www.mbsi.org/ | on the Photo Gallery tab. He has been documenting Golden Gate Chapter annual meetings at Ardenwood Historical Farm (Fremont, CA), posting videos at YouTube:

The chapter will host the annual national meeting in 2011, and Dick is involved in publicity planning. There are more soundbites on the chapter website under the Music tab.
